How I get more discounts when online shopping for Cyber Monday

Wallets always look prettier when full, so here are some tips that will help you save even more money when shopping online.

1. Sign-up for Ebates

Ebates has all the websites I frequent like drugstore.com, target.com, and groupon.com, then sends me a check for shopping there. There is really is no catch. Instead of going to the website directly, like I usually do, I go to Ebates.com and simply type in the name of the website I want to shop at and it quickly shows up. I click on the link and it takes me to the site so I can shop online like I normally do, except now I get a percentage of my total amount back to me. Ebates lists what the percentage amount you get back underneath each website's logo. The only downside is the check doesn't come to you till a couple of months later. I signed up three days ago and my first check is scheduled for 2/15/15. However, I'm not too bummed as I am a regular online shopper and don't see purchasing things online for the next months as an out-of-the-way hassle.


2. Find coupon, promo, or discount codes at RetailMeNot.com


If the online store you want to shop at is have a discount or promo on anything, you will definitely find it here on RetailMeNot.com . It even has a rating system to tell you which promo codes have worked for other buyers and when was the last time it was used. This site had personally saved me $5-$40 on a purchase.


3. See if your bank offers any cash back deals


I'm not sure about other banks, but my bank (Bank of America) has something called Cash Back Deals. They have a list of merchants that you add to your deals and when you shop there, you get a percentage of your total back into your account. Some deals you can even use in-stores.
