Cover-up Tips That Will Make Your Acne Quit

Acne is a spiteful little thing and is always ready to one-up you when you take retaliation. Being a suffer of acne's wrath, I put my researching skills into overdrive and came up with a face routine that has helped my acne and acne scars become the least of my worries these past three months.

Morning:
Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash $21

"When it comes to faces with dry and oily places, it takes a clever cleanser to balance the two. This gentle, frothy face wash carefully does both jobs without canceling each other out."

My Recommendation - use a tiny pencil eraser size amount and gently swirl it around you face for about 20 seconds.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM $10.89

My Recommendation - I use two pumps to gently cover my entire face and neck. I love the fact that it has SPF.

Pur Minerals Correcting Primer, Peach - Color Balancer $31

My Recommendation - After applying a thin layer, give it some time to dry and be absorbed. This is the time I usually do my hair while I wait. This color works well for most skins. I usually use this primer for special occasions or when I know I'll be taking a lot of pictures.

My Recommendation - This is my everyday primer. I just brush it all over my face and make sure to really get my problem areas so when I put my powder foundation, the coverage will really stick throughout the day.

My Recommendation - I usually go over my cheeks twice as those are my problem areas. This powder is great because it can offer full coverage with more layers and doesn't give you that unattractive cakey look. The color matching is spot-on. With other brands, at the end of the day my makeup ends up looking so pink but with Pur, the color is perfect all day long. I also recommend getting the Chisel Brush as it really puts the makeup on your face so well and I end up not using that much of the product so it lasts longer.

My Recommendation - Keep this in your purse! I absolutely go crazy when I don't have this on hand. It keeps my face looking porefect after putting my makeup on. Throughout the day, I still get a bit oily but once I brush some of this baby on - my skin is back to looking refreshed and lively! I love this, I love this, I love this!
